RED BLOOD PARROT CICHLIDS  XIII

The fire was burning in the back and the red blood parrots were swimming in front of it. A short dance in flying orange colors. The camera was there (as it always is) and I had a chance to take some spectacular photos. Flash could not be used as it would wash out the orange of the fish and give detail to the walls surrounding the fireplace. Having just an 100 ASA film there was only one solution. Forget what was already in it, rate it at 800 ASA and shoot the remaining shots with a telephoto lens to bring the fish and the fire "closer" as they were actually 5 meters away. Photography - like fish keeping - is an art and a science...
