Photos by G.J.Reclos /MCH NEW PHOTOS - August 2005 Three photos of a Paretroplus nourissati in nuptial dress. At times, this courting coloration will result in a bar-less fish (apart from the two thick bars at the middle of its body) exhibiting a bright, almost yellow color on its body. I have the feeling that I will have more to report on this in my next update - this is the only Madagascan species not bred yet (among the ones I keep of course !). Their new, 250 cm tank seems to have worked miracles for them. Click on the thumbnails for the high resolution photos. Photos by G.J.Reclos /MCH NEW PHOTOS - March 2005 A close up photo showing the "peculiar" dentition of P. nourissati. This is the "basic" dentition of all Paretroplines which comes in handy when crushing the shell of a snail is the task to be performed. Click on the image to get the high resolution picture.
