Dimidiochromis compressiceps VII

Photo of the Month, September 2004

A gorgeous male over its favorite rock. Click on the thumbnail to see the high resolution image.

The two rivals in fighting position. A male Cyrtocara moorii and the D. compressiceps.

The male in flying colors

Female D. compressiceps yawning. The size of the open mouth shows the predatory nature of the fish.

A bunch of Vallisneria gigantea was recently added in the tank to mimic the natural biotope of the D. compressiceps. It is only natural that the fish immediately chose this area as his "home"
